LAS VEGAS Writer's Conference
Anthony Wedgeworth, Lynn Pisar (Books in Motion), and author Maxwell Drake (Genesis of Oblivion Saga) stop for a quick photo between lectures and meetings during the Las Vegas event, sponsored by Henderson Writer's Group. This year's event was absolutely great and the contacts were priceless.
Welcome to my new website. Please feel free to look around and give me feedback on potential improvements. I've recently launched this site and plan to make it a valuable source of information and links for you.
Let me show you around. Topics are listed on your left, and sub-topics are on your right. Make sure you sign into the guestbook (just to your right and slightly down from this comment) and let me know what you'd like to see posted on this site.
Thanks for dropping by! You're always welcome here.

To give you a little background, my name is Anthony Wedgeworth and I'm an Executive Manager by day, and an Author, Freelance Journalist, and Recreational Photographer by night, peppered with the occasional speaking engagement and charity work as well as seasoned with a few ghost hunting investigations. Odd mix, you say? You don't know the half of it.
I am currently the IT Director for Knapp Development Incorporated. We provide solutions for long-term care in Wisconsin, including the elderly and those with physical and mental challenges.
There are several groups I belong to which are dramatically differently from each other. This allows me opportunities to deal with a broad range of views and opinions. Variety is the spice of life, you know.
As a member of Faith in Action I'm working with a great group of volunteers that assist the elderly and those that need support with challenges they may run into, such as home chores / assistance and driving them to the doctors. I'm also a member of WIPS Research which is a team who investigate paranormal activities with science-based devices to collect evidence and help families understand what's truly causing those bumps in the night. In addition, I'm a member of the International Dyslexia Association in an effort to help those who struggle with the same reading challenges that I grew up with and still struggle with every day of my life.
In an effort to help abandoned pets in our area, my family supports the PAWS organization (www.petfinder.com) by fostering small and medium sized dogs until we can help them find new families who will love them they way they should be. It amazes me how many people just abandon their animals. Please don't be one of these. Drop your animals off at an organization near you if you can't support your animal's needs.
Last, but surely not least, I support the AnySoldier cause and send free signed books to soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan as a gesture of my appreciation of their efforts to keep us safe. These brave men and women are my heroes. I wish I could do more for them. If you have a loved one in the "AnySoldier" program, please send me their name and I'll ship them a signed copy of one of my fantasy adventures for free. It's the least I can do for them. Please let me know if there is a specific one they are looking for.
